Use the body map

Eight areas, the problems we see most often in each, what usually helps, which appointment to book, and the signs that mean you shouldn’t wait for physio.

§ Good to know

Pain, explained simply

A few things that are true for most of the people we see, whatever the area.

Hurt doesn’t always mean harm

Pain is a protective alarm, and it can stay switched on after tissues have healed. Moving within comfort is usually safe and helpful.

Scans are often not needed

Many findings on scans are normal signs of age. We’ll refer you for imaging when it would change what we do.

Little and often wins

Ten minutes of exercise most days beats an hour once a week. We’ll help you fit it into your routine.

Sleep and stress matter

Poor sleep and a stressful patch can turn the volume up on pain. They are part of the conversation too.
