A year, less a day
A pass lasts a year: test on 3 November and it runs out on 2 November next year.
1 mth
Test early, keep the date
Test up to a month (minus a day) before it runs out and the new one still runs from the old date.
3 yrs
New cars wait three years
A new car’s first MOT is due by the third anniversary of its registration, then every year.
