How it works

Three unhurried steps to your first session

Reaching out is often the hardest part. You don’t need to know what kind of therapy you want, or have the right words for what’s going on. That’s what the first call is for.

  1. 01

    A free 15-minute call

Tell us a little about what’s bringing you in and what you’re looking for. Ask anything: fees, insurance, how sessions work. No obligation either way.

  2. 02

    We match you thoughtfully

We suggest a clinician based on what you need, the times you can make and how you’re paying. If we aren’t the right fit, we’ll help you find someone who is.

  3. 03

    Your first session

A 60-minute conversation to understand your story and agree on goals together. You’ll get a secure link to the paperwork beforehand, so the session is all yours.

What to expect

Your first few sessions

We don’t publish client stories or reviews. Therapy is private, and we’d rather you judge us on a conversation. Here’s what the start of working together usually looks like.

What therapy can and can’t promise

Many people feel some relief within the first couple of months, but everyone’s path is different and no therapist can guarantee a result. What we can promise: we’ll be honest about progress, check in with you regularly about whether it’s helping, and help you find something different if it isn’t.

  1. Before you come in

A secure link to a few short forms: contact details, consent and a brief questionnaire. It takes about 15 minutes.

  2. The first session

Sixty minutes to talk about what’s happening, what you’ve tried and what you’d like to be different. You share what you’re comfortable sharing.

  3. A plan you agree with

By the second or third session, you and your therapist agree on goals, how often to meet (often weekly at first) and how you’ll know it’s working.

  4. Check-ins along the way

Every six sessions or so, we look back together. You can change pace, focus or clinician at any time, with no hard feelings.
