Workshops
Learn on the wheel we use every day.
Small groups at the studio on Kirkgate, taught by Tobi Akintola, who has run our classes since 2021. No experience needed, just clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. We fire everything you make and keep it for you to collect.

Good to know
Do I need any experience?
None at all for the taster or the hand-building evening. The six-week course starts from the beginning too, but it suits people who want to keep going.
What should I wear?
Something you don’t mind getting clay on, short sleeves or sleeves you can push up, and short nails if you can. We have aprons and towels.
When can I take my pots home?
About four weeks later, once they’ve dried, been fired, glazed and fired again. We email when they’re ready to collect, or post them for £5.50.
How old do you have to be?
16 and over, or 12 and over with a grown-up booked alongside. For a birthday or a group of friends, ask about a private session.
Is the studio accessible?
The studio is on the ground floor with a step-free entrance from the yard behind the shop. One of our wheels sits at table height for anyone who would rather not sit low. Tell us what would help when you book.
