Every course is hands-on, outdoors for most of the day and small enough that the tutor knows your name by the first tea break. Tools, seeds and materials are always included.

Pick by level, not by bravery.
“Your first growing bed” is our gentlest introduction. For a doorstep or balcony, choose “A harvest in small spaces”. You don’t need to take any course in order, and you can always ring and ask.
Ask us which course suits you- Beginner
- No experience needed. We explain every word and every tool, and nobody is asked to know anything before they arrive.
- Improver
- You have grown a season or two and want to know why things worked, or didn’t. Expect more practice and less introduction.
- Experienced
- Confident with sharp tools and a full day outdoors in winter. The hedge-laying weekend is hard physical work.
