What we look for

  • You make the thing

    Hands on the work: designers, scientists, engineers, craftspeople. Not the company spokesperson.

  • There’s a story

    A problem that took years, a mistake you learned from, a process nobody outside your field has heard about.

  • No selling

    You can mention what you make, but the episode isn’t an ad. Guests never pay to appear, and we don’t take paid placements.

Send a pitch.

We read every pitch and reply to the ones we can follow up within three weeks. We record about sixteen episodes a year, so please don’t be discouraged by a no.

If we say yes

    A 20-minute call to get to know each other. No preparation needed.

  2. 2

    Recording in Philadelphia, at your workshop, or remotely with a microphone we post to you.

  3. 3

    You hear it first. We send the edit a week before release so nothing surprises you.
