We ship something every two weeks. Most of it starts as a message from a manager in the middle of service.

NewImproved
Auto-fill used to pick the first available person. Now it looks at everyone’s hours for the week and spreads shifts evenly, while keeping contracted minimums and never pushing anyone into overtime unless you allow it.
You’ll see a small “fair” score under each person. Hover it to see why Orbit picked them.
IntegrationsNew
Connect Tablebook and booked covers appear above each day. Parties of 12 or more get a flag and a suggestion to add a server.
MobileNew
The team app now has widgets for iOS and Android. Your next shift, who you’re working with and a clock-in button, right on the home screen.
Improved
Different sites, different rules. Set paid and unpaid breaks per location and Orbit warns you before you publish a shift that breaks them.
Fixed
Shifts that cross midnight now count toward the day they started, which fixes double-counted hours for late-night bars. Thanks to everyone who reported it.
Integrations
Add the forecast to every day and set rules like “over 22°C, add one person to the terrace”. Orbit suggests the change; you decide.
NewMobile
See who has read an announcement and nudge the rest with one tap. Handy for menu changes, fire drills and anything nobody can miss.
ImprovedMobile
Swap requests now work offline and sync when you’re back on signal. Basement stockrooms, we see you.
FixedIntegrations
Holiday pay codes now export correctly to Paywell when a person has both a shift and a half day of leave on the same date.
