About us

We’re building the calm way to ship software

Launch is an independent, profitable company of 48 people across 14 countries. We make tools for teams who care about the craft of shipping.

Our story

Before Launch, Maya and Daniel ran product and engineering at a fast-growing startup. Every Friday they spent hours stitching together roadmaps, tickets and release notes from five different tools.

They built a small internal tool to connect it all. Within a year, friends at other companies were asking to use it. In 2019 they made it official.

Today Launch helps more than 4,000 teams plan and ship, and we still use it to build Launch every day.

  1. 2019

    Two engineers, one spreadsheet

    Maya and Daniel start Launch after years of losing release notes in chat threads.

  2. 2021

    Seed round & public beta

    300 teams join the beta. The feedback inbox ships after it becomes the top request.

  3. 2023

    1,000 paying teams

    Launch becomes profitable and opens offices in Lisbon and Toronto.

  4. 2026

    Launch 2.0

    A rebuilt sync engine, AI-drafted release notes and 4,000+ teams worldwide.
