Fees

Clear prices, agreed before any work starts.

No hourly meter running in the background. You’ll get a fixed fee in writing, and if the job changes, I’ll ask before the price does.

A range means the fee is fixed in writing once I know the details. Tribunal claims are priced stage by stage, below.

Tribunal claims

Priced one stage at a time

Most claims settle before a hearing. Fixing each stage means you only pay for the stages you actually need.

  1. 01ACAS early conciliation£750
  2. 02Claim form (ET1) drafted and filed£1,250
  3. 03Case management and settlement talks£1,500–£2,500
  4. 04Documents and witness statements£2,000–£3,500
  5. 05Final hearing preparationFrom £2,500

Excluding VAT. A barrister’s fee for the hearing itself is quoted separately, in advance.

Employer contributions

For settlement agreements, your employer usually pays towards your advice, often £350–£750 plus VAT. I invoice them directly, so most clients pay nothing.

Interest-free payment plans

Fees from £1,000 can be split into three equal monthly payments. Just ask when we agree the fee.

Legal expenses insurance

Some home and car insurance policies cover employment disputes. I’ll help you check, though insurers often appoint their own panel solicitors.

I don’t offer “no win, no fee”. I’d rather you know the cost up front. If a no-win-no-fee arrangement suits you better, I’ll say so and suggest where to look.
